Randon Blackmon Pender is a native of Winston–Salem, NC. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University 1985.


After graduating from Winston Salem State University, she started her nursing career at Forsyth Hospital,  where she worked until 1987 before beginning her Nurse Case Management career. She obtained certifications as a Certified Nurse Case Manager and a Certified Disability Management Specialist and started her own Nurse Case Management Company, Triad Rehabilitation Services, December 1992, the first black-owned Nurse Case Management Company in Winston-Salem.  


Ms. Pender has managed cases on the City, State and Federal levels as well as the Private Sector.  Additionally, she has worked as a Life Care Planner, Medical File Reviewer and performed Job Analysis.

Ms. Pender is the current President and a Charter member of the Winston Salem Black Chamber of Commerce.   She has also served as the Black Chamber’s Public Relations/Legislative Affairs Chair and Secretary. She is a charter member of the US Black Chamber of Commerce located in Washington, DC.


She champions for the small business owner on the local, state and national levels.

Ms. Pender is a recipient of the City of Winston-Salem 2017 Outstanding Women Leaders Award, the 2016 recipient of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Sigma Heritage Award and the 2015 recipient of the Winston Salem Chronicle’s Woman of the Year Award.
