Earlier in her career while working full time, and raising a wonderful daughter, she received a Bachelor's degree double majoring in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and General Psychology, and a Masters degree in Business Administration-Economics. Gloria is best known as a custodian of good will. When asked about a few of her greatest accomplishments, she proudly says 1) her beautiful daughter, 2) her distinguished military career, 3) her assistance in ensuring successful kidney and pancreas transplantation of more than 1,500 recipients, through extensive clinical research, resulting in improvement of the health-related quality of more than 1,000 children who have cerebral palsy, and 4) most recently she is giving second opportunities to many former justice-involved and underserved individuals who would otherwise possibly be left behind. Gloria is grateful in her medical profession that she always worked closely with surgeons who took time to teach by answering her many questions. She was “that” clinical researcher and team player.
